// ways of seeing

Observe the mundane.
What color is it? What shape? What pattern?

Put it on paper. Do something with it. Draw a picture, write a letter. Grab it and use it as inspiration. That’s what it’s there for.

All photography by me. // Drawing: fine point markers over medium grain paper.

  1. Salut Joana, thanks very much for your comment on my blog. I love it when I come across new blogs and seriously talented people like you through the medium of blogging… You’re right, “observe the mundane” – a lot like the quote on top of my blog… However, I absolutely love your portrait of Zandra Rhodes – the colours, the lines and movement, simply fantastic! I’ll definitely be back, Love from London x

  2. Mademoiselle Poirot: Thank you so much, lovely. I’m glad you liked my Zandra Rhodes portrait. She has the best hair, hasn’t she? I love her.

    Rianna: Thank you! I love using very random objects as inspiration. The results can be quite surprising at times.

    Violetta: What can I say? I’m such a huge fan of your blog. Thank you so much! xxx
