This is my new favorite film.

I have been a fan of Woody Allen’s for many years. I think I’ve pretty much watched everything he’s ever done. He can do no wrong in my eyes (please note that I’m talking about his work here, not his personal life).

Anyway, Midnight in Paris is so delightful I can’t recommend it enough! The storyline is great and the cast is impeccable. Without giving too much away, I particularly loved Corey Stoll (from Law and Order) as Hemingway. I don’t watch much TV so I didn’t even know who he was. Great performance though, just the right mixture of ego, suffering and comedy. Typical Woody Allen material, really. – If you haven’t seen it, go watch it now!

Yes, I have given in. Instagram is so addictive, I can’t get enough of it!

Here are a few pictures I took with my iPhone and shared on Instagram this week. Some are new, some are a few months old. The older ones have just been sitting there on my album so I decided to post them too. Take a look:

Amazing Lisbon graffiti by Brazilian street artists Os Gemeos.
Lisbon houses.
Textures.
Colorful ceramic plate from Tajikistan. A gift from my dad.
Detail on this adorable yellow building on my street. I pass it every day.
Istanbul. I was there a few months ago and took this picture during a boat trip on the Bosphorus.
Sneaky peek! This is a new illustration I am working on. It’s for a book!
Versailles. The corridor that leads to Marie Antoinette’s bedroom. A nice and cozy little home, one could say.
Melinda & Melinda by Woody Allen. #Love
Another scribble I did.

If you’re on Instagram, you can find me on JoanaFaria. :)

Have a beautiful and inspiring weekend, everyone.

Lots of love from Lisbon.
